To apply for a Postgraduate Certificate, you must have completed previous undergraduate studies in a related field. Postgraduate Certificates allow you to study at an advanced level, taking your knowledge and skills to the next stage.
We offer the following three specialisations:
Postgraduate Certificate in Arts (Development Studies specialisation)
Tackle modules including Civil Society, NGOs & the State, Project Management & Design and Gender, Globalisation & Development.
Postgraduate Certificate in Arts (Politics and International Studies specialisation)
Choose from four electives including The Fall of Australian Prime Ministers, Asia Pacific: Zone of Conflict or Peace and Women in Global Politics.
Postgraduate Certificate in Arts (Public Policy and Management specialisation)
Elect three challenging subjects such as Politics & Business in Post-Mao China, Trade Policy Politics or Strategic Political Communication, as well as your compulsory core subject ‘Ideas in Politics.’
an undergraduate degree with a major cognate to the specialisation with a grade average of H2B (70%) in the major, or equivalent; or
a Graduate Diploma in Arts in an area cognate to the specialisation with a grade average of H2B (70%) over the graduate diploma, or equivalent.
The Postgraduate Certificate in Arts degree is a 50-point course. You can undertake the program full-time.
