This MBA is a major step towards achieving Chartered Manager status – achieved through a formal application process to CMI that includes an assessment questionnaire and interview, and independent business impact study.

Everyone has different work and family commitments so we offer various ways to study:
Part time over three years
Full time, with a paid internship, over two years
Full time over one year (no internship)
Online over three years.
However you choose to study, the content remains largely the same, so everyone receives the same high quality Derby MBA. The main difference is the pace at which you study and when and where that study takes place.
Part time
Many people choose this option so they can fit the MBA around work or family commitments. You will need to attend one evening class each week as well as some two-day sessions, held during weekends.
Online learning
If you want maximum flexibility, chose to study part time, online. Regardless of where you are in the world, you can graduate with a highly regarded qualification, which is studied and assessed 100% online.
You will learn alongside fellow students in a collaborative online learning environment while receiving expert academic tuition and support.
Full time with an internship
New for 2015, this route might suit you if you want to widen your professional experience.
You will attend classes at University for a year and then apply what you have learned by interning with a UK or overseas company for between 10 months and one year. There will be a number of paid internships available and you will need to go through a formal application process.
Full time without an internship
This route might suit you if you already have extensive professional experience or if you want to qualify more quickly. You will attend classes on weekdays at the University for a year.
The MBA is a well-respected award that proves you have met a high international standard in leadership and management. Our students and graduates find that the reputation of the MBA, and the content of our course here at Derby, provide a host of benefits.
Furthermore, because our MBA is one of the few in the UK that has been accredited by the CMI, you can apply for a Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Leadership and Management at the end of the course. It’s a very useful additional qualification and will help you towards achieving Chartered Manager status - the highest status possible in the managerial profession.
