Master of Business Administration (MBA) Part Time
Full-time - 15 months (including dissertation)
The Master of Business Administration, MBA in Chinese Business Practice is a unique course delivered in London and Shanghai, two of the world´s most exciting cities. The first semester is taught at London South Bank University and the second is located at Shanghai Normal University. Shanghai Normal University is a key university in Shanghai with an excellent reputation for hosting international students. Students also attend a three month internship in Shanghai.
To apply for a Taught Masters postgraduate course at LSBU you need one of the following:
- IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 580 (Paper) or 237 (Computer) or 90 (Internet)
- Licenciado/Título de Ingeniero/Título de Arquitecto, average 6.0-6.9 (old grading system), or 1.5 in new grading system
For Postgraduate Diploma and Masters courses the normal entry qualification is an Honours degree or equivalent. For some Postgraduate Diplomas alternative qualifications are accepted along with relevant work experience. The University considers each application on its merits and is prepared to admit candidates who can demonstrate they have reached the normal entry requirements on the basis of prior experiential learning.
The course is designed for students who wish to gain an excellent grounding in doing business within a Chinese environment. China economy is one of the largest in the world and it is highly likely that most businesses will be working with Chinese organisations at some point in the future. The course is supported by the award winning Confucius Institute hosted at London South Bank University. The Institute will be supporting students with Chinese language preparation which will continue once in Shanghai.

Managing the Marketing Environment
Critical Management Inquiry supervised (jointly by LSBU and SHNU academic teams)
Semester 3 in Shanghai
Dissertation (Management Project)
All students have the opportunity to study towards the HSK Mandarin language proficiency exam. Whether this is taken during the semesters in Shanghai will be dependent on the level achieved.
Students graduating from the MBA Chinese Business Practise will prove to be valuable assets for any global employer. The course prepares you to operate at a management level within an international environment, and with a specific focus on working either with or within China.
In the UK and Europe, employers are currently seeking graduates with the cross cultural awareness that this course provides.
