The MSc in Business is a high-quality program in general Management designed for students with degrees in a variety of fields other than Business or Economics.
The program will provide graduates with a solid foundation in the core areas of Management. You will acquire the knowledge, analytical tools, and competencies necessary for a successful managerial career.
The MSc in Business will complement and enable you to leverage your undergraduate training. You can choose to bring your management insights to the field of your undergraduate degree, or you can pursue a career in the business area that interests you most. 1st cycle degree in any area
Graduates with a degree in a field other than Business or Economics who want to obtain a solid understanding of core areas of management in preparation for a management-related career.
Professional experience/internship (up to 2 years), international exposure (exchange, summer school or internship abroad) and extracurricular achievements are highly valued by the Admissions Jury.
The MSc in Business provides strong foundations in management for non-business graduates.
The program introduces students to the core areas of business and provides them with the analytical and soft skills to succeed in today´s workplace. Students will prepare for managerial careers by adding business knowledge to their previous academic training.
1st Semester | 2nd Semester
Your coursework will be in General Business Foundation courses designed to provide you with a broad overview of management and an integrated view of activities of the firm. You will have an opportunity to take an elective course to complement your area of expertise, or simply explore a topic that interests you.
Leadership Lab is designed to help you develop important competencies for managing and working with people and, therefore, for lifelong employability and growth. You can select among 1) career and employment workshops, and 2) personal development workshops.
International Experience (optional)
To obtain a valuable international experience and further improve your knowledge, you can pursue an exchange semester in one of CATÓLICA-LISBON prestigious partner schools around the world.
Summer Internship (optional)
You are encouraged to complete a summer internship before or during the master program.
The Master thesis is the culmination of your master program. This is when you build on the knowledge and skills acquired during the program to develop an individual project on topic that resonates with your career aspirations and helps you excel in an area you find professionally relevant.
The thesis project involves a research methodologies workshop, designed to provide you with advice, resources and useful tools to plan the research for your thesis, and write a dissertation.
