Máster de Formación Permanente en Big Data y Data Science: Ciencia e Ingeniería de Datos
-
Semipresencial
Aeronautical engineering is a multidisciplinary branch of engineering that encompasses aspects of mechanical, electrical and chemical engineering in the development of large and complicated engineering projects. It creates major challenges that arouse for improvements of aviation staffs’ capabilities and skills in developing and managing effectively and efficiently their respective domains.
In order to respond to these challenges, MSc program in Aeronautical Engineering (AE) is developed. It is offered by the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering of HKUST, in partnership with Ecole Nationale de l´Aviation Civile (ENAC), which is currently the largest aeronautical university in Europe and the only aviation-oriented university in France offering a wide and complete panel of aeronautics-oriented degree bearing programs and continuing & professional education programs, serving the aeronautical world, and particularly the air transport sector.
Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering/ Aerospace Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering / Engineering Management / Materials Science and Engineering / Electrical and Electronic Engineering / Civil Engineering/ Environmental Engineering, or a related field with second class honors or above, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university or tertiary institution.
The target students for this MSc are degree graduates from Aeronautical Engineering/ Aerospace Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering / Engineering Management / Materials Science and Engineering / Electrical and Electronic Engineering / Civil Engineering/ Environmental Engineering, and working professionals in industry, government or other institutions. Fresh graduates who have good academic record are also our targets.
Master of Science in Aeronautical Engineering aims to equip those who want to enter the aeronautical engineering profession or to enhance the knowledge of those who have already been working in the aeronautical field. The program complements the existing undergraduate and graduate curricula in mechanical and aerospace engineering, allows student to get exposure to the various core aspects of aeronautical engineering and how they are used in real world.
Students are required to complete a total of 30 credits of coursework, including at least 12 credits of foundation courses and 6 credits of courses offered by ENAC.
