1. A completed Bachelor´s degree in Political Science or a related discipline from a recognised, academic university.
A substantial part of the courses in your Bachelor’s degree should be in your preferred specialisation: International Relations, Political Theory, Comparative Politics or Public Administration (COMPASS).
2. Competency in Social Science Research Methodology (quantitative and qualitative)
3. A proficiency in English
•A TOEFL score of ≥90, with subscores not lower than 22
•A IELTS score of ≥6.5, with subscores not lower than 6.5
•Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) or Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) with a mark of C or higher
The Master´s programme in Political Science offers a unique opportunity for students to prepare for a rewarding career in leading positions in the public and private sector. There are four specialisations: International Relations, Political Theory, Comparative Politics or Comparative Politics, Administration and Society (COMPASS).
The programme analyses political behaviour, ideas, events and institutions with an emphasis on power relations that shape the design and effectiveness of political institutions, structure patterns of cooperation and govern conflict in global politics. The programme offers four specialisation. Before the programme starts you will choose a specialisations:
• International Relations
• Comparative and European Politics
• Political Theory: Recognition, Justice and Power
• Comparative Politics, Administration and Society
Employment in a variety of settings: in consulting, (inter)national diplomacy, with the EU, in local, regional and national government, with business, media and think-tanks. Pursue a PhD in Political Science.
