The innovative MSc Performance Coaching course reflects current recommendations in the UK to produce professionals suitably qualified to work in performance coaching
The flexible modular structure course offers an insight into how psychology, physiology, strength and conditioning, and movement analysis impact on elite performance.
MSc Performance Coaching will give you an interactive approach to performance coaching so you can apply theory to your practice. The integration of theory and practice will enhance and develop your ability to reflect on current coaching practice, plan appropriate training programmes and critically analyse existing approaches to performance coaching. You will also develop a comprehensive knowledge of the key issues that support the high performance sports coaching environment.
Licenciado/Título de Ingeniero/Título de Arquitecto with an average of 6.0-6.9, Aprobado or above
English language qualifications:
GCSE pass in English at Grade C or above
IELTS with an average overall score 6.5 with at least a 5.5 in each component
TOEFL IBT minimum score 88
Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): exams taken from January 2015 – overall score of 176 with at least 162 in each component; exams taken before January 2015 – Grade C and no less than borderline in each skill
Trinity College English Language qualifications: ISE III Pass for postgraduate taught courses and research applications
City and Guild’s IESOL/ISESOL tests at expert and mastery levels (C2 and C1) for the majority of postgraduate programmes
Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) with a minimum of 67 points in each elemen

Teaching methods include, lectures, video analysis, seminars, and workshops, some of which will be student-led.
The UK Vision for Coaching has clearly identified the need to develop Talent Coaches, Performance Coaches and High Performance Coaches. This course will provide opportunities for individuals to develop in these roles within their National Governing Body or sport. This course will also support the development of the academy manager, sports coach, NGB coach, performance director, strength and conditioning coach, sport and exercise scientist or fitness adviser.
