This Master´s degree seeks to offer a mix of theoretical and practical skills in assessing, diagnosing, referring and managing musculoskeletal problems presenting to primary health care teams.
MSc Musculoskeletal Management in Primary Care will provide practitioners with the knowledge and skills to assess, triage and care for patients with musculoskeletal conditions in the community and to apply evidence-based practice. It will focus on multidisciplinary assessment and management and will promote biopsychosocial approaches to musculoskeletal assessment and management.

This postgraduate course believes in the importance of life-long learning and endeavours to provide the practitioner with an educational framework that promotes independent learning and is both professionally relevant and appropriate for applying theory to practice. It aims to develop competent, reflective and analytical practitioners, who can contribute effectively to practice delivery and to commissioning and who are responsive to evolutionary changes in the structure and provision of health care.

Applicants admitted onto the course will hold a primary medical degree or an appropriate Health Professional qualification and should be registered with an appropriate body.
