Master in Marketing Communications - Máster en Comunicación de Marketing
Full-time - 15 months; Part-time - 30 months
This course is designed to offer students who hold the CIM Level 7 Diploma in Marketing Communications the opportunity to upgrade their qualification to a Masters degree.
The core modules provide the student with the necessary grounding in the marketing communications field. In addition to core marketing modules the course provides specialist modules in advertising, public relations and options in associated fields. In addition the contemporary themes associated with Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) will also be developed. A variety of speakers from industry provide insight and evidence of current marketing communications practice
To apply for a Taught Masters postgraduate course at LSBU you need one of the following:
- IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 580 (Paper) or 237 (Computer) or 90 (Internet)
- Licenciado/Título de Ingeniero/Título de Arquitecto, average 6.0-6.9 (old grading system), or 1.5 in new grading system
For Postgraduate Diploma and Masters courses the normal entry qualification is an Honours degree or equivalent. For some Postgraduate Diplomas alternative qualifications are accepted along with relevant work experience. The University considers each application on its merits and is prepared to admit candidates who can demonstrate they have reached the normal entry requirements on the basis of prior experiential learning.
To upgrade from the CIM Level 7 Diploma in Marketing Communications to the Masters degree, eligible students would be required to successfully complete the following modules:
Research Methods (20 credits)
Integrated Marketing Communications (20 credits)
Plus one elective (from the following specialist 10 credit modules below)
Emerging Issues in 21st Century
Digital and Social Media
Market Driven Marketing
Social Marketing Strategy
