If you are looking to enter legal practice with a specialism in intellectual property or information technology law, this LLM will be of significant benefit. Alternatively, if you work in a role where you have responsibility for intellectual property or information management issues - or if you operate in an advisory capacity helping businesses to tackle these issues - the LLM will widen your knowledge and skills so that you are more effective and successful in your profession.
The qualification is equally useful if you are considering a career as a researcher in the legal field, or as an analyst for a think tank or an intellectual property or knowledge management campaign group. You might already be working as a research manager where a greater knowledge of intellectual property would be of value to you.
