This Masters course provides a complete overview of quality and systems management, from systems and tools, to the development and motivation of people across an organisation.

It is unique in the way it integrates subject areas that are rapidly becoming inter-related in organisations. You will apply appropriate models and theories to the development of Lean organisations and six-sigma process control philosophy.

As Lean and Six-Sigma have wide applicability across a diverse range of industry sectors, the course will provide strong credentials to support anyone in operational management. You will benefit most from the MSc Lean and Six-sigma degree if you are an existing or prospective quality or supply chain manager, operations engineer, or if you are responsible for the management and development of quality management systems in the public sector, or service and manufacturing industries.


Licenciado/Título de Ingeniero/Título de Arquitecto with an average of 6.0-6.9, Aprobado or above

English language qualifications:
GCSE pass in English at Grade C or above
IELTS with an average overall score 6.5 with at least a 5.5 in each component
TOEFL IBT minimum score 88
Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): exams taken from January 2015 – overall score of 176 with at least 162 in each component; exams taken before January 2015 – Grade C and no less than borderline in each skill
Trinity College English Language qualifications: ISE III Pass for postgraduate taught courses and research applications
City and Guild’s IESOL/ISESOL tests at expert and mastery levels (C2 and C1) for the majority of postgraduate programmes
Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) with a minimum of 67 points in each elemen
Don’t worry if you do not meet these requirements, we run a number of courses to prepare you for academic studies.


You will study the following modules:

Lean and Six-sigma Methodologies
Research Methods and Professional Development
Sustainable Supply-chain Management
Project Management and Techniques
Business and Risk Management
Dissertation (60 credits)
Learning and teaching methods
The taught elements are delivered over three eight week blocks, which offers an intensive but flexible learning pattern with two start points each year – February and September.

Classroom teaching is augmented by supporting material in our ‘Blackboard’ online environment and many classes are recorded.

The course will allow completion of all elements except formal examinations, to be completed on-line.
