Full-time - 15 months (including dissertation)
The full-time MSc International Human Resources Management course is taught in a truly international context in two world capital cities and offers a collaborative programme awarding master´s degrees from both LSBU and the Institut de Gestion Sociale IGS, Paris.
Building upon the expertise and opportunities available both at IGS in Paris and at LSBU in London, the programme focuses on the management of human resources in international companies and the issues associated with the management of international staff and includes the opportunity of an internship. Members of the programme are supported and encouraged to develop research skills in a business environment through the production of an internship-based masters dissertation, which represents the culmination of the programme.
The course is taught in English in both London and Paris. You will study in Paris - 4 months, and London - 4 months followed by 6-7 month international internship.
To apply for a Taught Masters postgraduate course at LSBU you need one of the following:
- IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 580 (Paper) or 237 (Computer) or 90 (Internet)
- Licenciado/Título de Ingeniero/Título de Arquitecto, average 6.0-6.9 (old grading system), or 1.5 in new grading system
For Postgraduate Diploma and Masters courses the normal entry qualification is an Honours degree or equivalent. For some Postgraduate Diplomas alternative qualifications are accepted along with relevant work experience. The University considers each application on its merits and is prepared to admit candidates who can demonstrate they have reached the normal entry requirements on the basis of prior experiential learning.
The course is designed for graduates of any discipline who intend to develop a career in global business in the area of human resource management, or in any area of management which places a high priority on the exercise of people management skills.

Plus a 6-7 month internship in an international HR role to support the dissertation and further career opportunities and improve your French language skills.
The course gives a good grounding in international HR issues, theories and practice, and several units are based on the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) professional standards. Successful students can enter a variety of HR roles, particularly in the international market. The internship gives a real boost to career opportunities for graduates on this programme.
