Presentación

Globalisation is here to stay and the number of active international industries continues to grow each year. This specialist LLM will develop your understanding of the nature of international commercial law and regulation.

You can study aspects of commercial law that have international relevance, and consider specific issues that arise in commercial and consumer law. You will also explore different aspects of globalisation and how the law influences and responds to these. This course is suitable for individuals already working in the legal sector, as well as those looking to increase their knowledge in this area.

Alongside your studies, you will also have the chance to put your knowledge into practice, working in the University’s Legal and Financial Advice Clinic. The Clinic will allow you to engage directly with the legal profession, and work with a number of reputable law firms.

Requisitos

Licenciado/Título de Ingeniero/Título de Arquitecto with an average of 6.0-6.9, Aprobado or above

English language qualifications:

GCSE pass in English at Grade C or above
IELTS with an average overall score 6.5 with at least a 5.5 in each component
TOEFL IBT minimum score 88
Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): exams taken from January 2015 – overall score of 176 with at least 162 in each component; exams taken before January 2015 – Grade C and no less than borderline in each skill
Trinity College English Language qualifications: ISE III Pass for postgraduate taught courses and research applications
City and Guild’s IESOL/ISESOL tests at expert and mastery levels (C2 and C1) for the majority of postgraduate programmes
Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) with a minimum of 67 points in each elemen
Don’t worry if you do not meet these requirements, we run a number of courses to prepare you for academic studies.

To achieve this specialist Masters course, you will study compulsory modules designed to provide you with a firm foundation from which to complete your studies. You will also be able to select a further two optional modules to complement your studies and legal interests.

Learning and teaching methods
Full-time delivery starts in February and September. It involves the study of all taught modules and the submission of your dissertation by the following February or September.

You will learn through lectures, workshops, tutorials and self-directed learning. Tuition is offered in small, friendly groups, which allow for detailed, individual support of your studies.
