1. A completed Bachelor´s degree in Computing Science, Information Sciences, Artificial Intelligence or related area
In order to get admission to this Master´s you will need a completed Bachelor’s degree in Computing Science, Information Sciences or Artificial Intelligence. In some instances we also give admittance to students with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Cultural Anthropology, Development Studies, Communication Science, Political Science, Human Geography, Spatial Planning or another social / management studies. We do advise these students to take a minor during their Bachelor’s programme that includes training in mathematics, statistics or regression analysis and methods.
2. Proficiency in English
•A TOEFL score of ≥600 (paper based) or ≥250 (computer based) or ≥100(internet based)
•An IELTS score of ≥6.5
•Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) or Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) with a mark of C or higher

This Masters programme will give you everything you need to become an expert coordinator of ICT, people and organisations. The Netherlands is the European leader in information science. The Master´s programme of Information Sciences comprises one year (60 EC), and focuses on Business Engineering, Information architecture and Digital Security. The courses are taught in English.
Within the specialisation, 6EC should be chosen from a given selection of courses that provide further deepening of your information science background. The remaining 6 EC is so-called ""vrije ruimte"" (free choice). The only condition that should be fulfilled here is that there is no overlap between the course(s) of your choice and the other courses of your programme. The courses of your specialisation and free choice must be approved by the Examination board.
In your Master´s thesis, you will show that you are able to analyse a problem in information science at master level and design a solution for this problem using scientific methods and techniques. It is possible to combine research for the master´s project with an internship in a suitable company.

All students of Information Sciences take the following courses:

•Research Methods
•Philosophy and Ethics for Computing and Information Sciences

Specialisation courses
You can choose to either take the course Information Retrieval or the two courses Business Rules and Business Service Innovation.

Free elective courses
6 EC worth of courses can be chosen from Radboud University’s course catalogue. Suggested courses in the field of Computing and Information Sciences include:

•Cognition and Representation
•ICT In a Different Culture
