Presentación

The MA Fine Art course is devised to instigate professional excellence and innovative art practice, providing students with the opportunity to select a specifically tailored programme of study. It has been designed to reflect the breadth of contemporary art and offers a wide range of different pathways including Painting, Sculpture, Installation, Printmaking, Drawing, Photography, Time-Based Media and Artists’ Writing. The course fosters the integration of contemporary theory and practice, allowing students to make informed judgements and choices regarding ideas and concepts, works of art, and exhibition or display. Students are offered studio space in the heart of Shoreditch along with well-equipped workshop facilities.

Requisitos

Normally successful applicants will have:

An upper second class Honours Degree in a relevant subject.
Those with relevenat professional qualifications or extensive professional experience will be considered.
All applicants must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the English language. Applicants who require a Tier 4 student visa may need to provide a Secure English Language Test (SELT) such as Academic IELTS.

Programa

Students on MA Fine Art will take four core modules, and 3 optional modules and submit an evaluative report.

Opportunities are available include work as a visual artist or in fields such as community arts, curating,advertising, teaching, arts criticism and review, arts journalism, arts administration, video and web site production, theatre/stage design, music/light and sonic arts, festival design.There is also the opportunity for further study at PHD level.
