Prepare yourself for a career in the exciting and fast-moving world of financial services with a Masters degree in Finance. Enhance your critical, analytical and appraisal skills in this dynamic area of study.

You will study a range of finance modules from both a theoretical and practical point of view, through academic reading and use of simulation software and powerful financial databases. A study of research methods in a finance context will prepare you to undertake your own chosen research project in an area of finance with supervision from expert academic staff. You will also have the opportunity to choose an optional module in an area of specialism such as Islamic banking and finance or financial mathematics.

Wales accounts for 49,000 employees in the financial and professional services sector, and is predicted to see further growth in the next 10 years, as the sector grows, there will be an increase in demand for a skilled workforce.


Licenciado/Título de Ingeniero/Título de Arquitecto with an average of 6.0-6.9, Aprobado or above

English language qualifications:
GCSE pass in English at Grade C or above
IELTS with an average overall score 6.5 with at least a 5.5 in each component
TOEFL IBT minimum score 88
Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): exams taken from January 2015 – overall score of 176 with at least 162 in each component; exams taken before January 2015 – Grade C and no less than borderline in each skill
Trinity College English Language qualifications: ISE III Pass for postgraduate taught courses and research applications
City and Guild’s IESOL/ISESOL tests at expert and mastery levels (C2 and C1) for the majority of postgraduate programmes
Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) with a minimum of 67 points in each elemen

The course is delivered full time or part-time through a combination of lectures, tutorials, computer workshops, case study analysis and discussion groups. A hands-on, student led approach is employed; whereby students are exposed to real-world situations and given the skills and opportunities to find practical solutions.
