Emotional Education (EE) encourages the development of a profound wisdom enabling a clearer understanding of human behaviour in a variety of different fields and situations. You can apply it to any situation which involves working with or relating to human beings regardless of age or circumstances.
In contrast to the specificity of many psychological approaches, EE takes a ‘field’ or encompassing approach towards healthy emotional functioning. Whilst not a therapy, EE will provide you with a therapeutic tool kit of theoretical perspectives of the emotional process for facilitating the development of human potential for both individuals and groups.
This pathway will enable you to gain mastery of your emotional processes. You will learn how to be authentic and powerful with a vulnerability that will enable you to be true to yourself and release your potential. It will also enable you to support others in doing the same.
The pathway comprises three modules which are completed during your first year or can be studied as a stand-alone certificate.
As a part time student you will cover attachment theory and be introduced to various psychotherapeutic models including Process Oriented Psychology, Psychosynthesis, Personal Contruct theory in addition to recent developments in the field of neuroscience. You will learn experientially about group dynamics, community building and how to become an emotionally intelligent leader/manager.
