Master Economics of International Finance and Trade - Máster en Economía de Finanzas y Comercio Internacional
The MSc in Economics will provide you with a thorough understanding of the theory and techniques of modern economic and econometric analysis. The course is an excellent foundation for further research and a PhD. (The MSc in Economics is not available as a stand-alone degree and cannot be taken except as a precursor to a PhD. We do however offer a range of other postgraduate economics degrees which can be taken on their own.)
The central feature of the degree is its combination of core economic concepts and principles with the modern research methods required for their application. You will gain experience of actual economic research based on time series and social survey data, as this is an integral part of the degree.
The course will provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate your acquired skills by applying them to a research topic of your choice. You will gain a strong command of analytical techniques, computing and research methods for problem solving and develop your critical analysis of economic theories and debates. The course will equip you with advanced research and communication skills, both written and oral.
This MSc is designed for students who have a strong background in economics. It is available as a one year full-time, or two years part-time campus-based course.
