Full-time - 16 months; Part-time - normally 32 months
The course is academically rigorous and meets the professional needs of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) qualification whereby students are given full exemption from ICSA´s Professional Examinations. You are encouraged to develop yourself in order to become a key player, with the skills, vision and ability to influence change.
Lectures cover concepts which underpin and facilitate informed participative approaches to learning. Workshops, seminars, case studies and student led discussions facilitate more active modes of learning. Assestment is by a combination of examination and/or coursework. Lecturers offer a rich profile of academic and professional qualifications backed by professional , teaching and/or research experience.
An academic is appointed as your Dissertation Facilitator, to offer guidance and constructive advice on the preparation of your dissertation.
To apply for a Taught Masters postgraduate course at LSBU you need one of the following:
- IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 580 (Paper) or 237 (Computer) or 90 (Internet)
- Licenciado/Título de Ingeniero/Título de Arquitecto, average 6.0-6.9 (old grading system), or 1.5 in new grading system
For Postgraduate Diploma and Masters courses the normal entry qualification is an Honours degree or equivalent. For some Postgraduate Diplomas alternative qualifications are accepted along with relevant work experience. The University considers each application on its merits and is prepared to admit candidates who can demonstrate they have reached the normal entry requirements on the basis of prior experiential learning.

The PgDip comprises six taught modules (five full modules and two half modules) and the MSc comprises the same modules plus a dissertation (circa 16,000 words) in the subject area of corporate governance.
