During this course, you will study the theory and practice of Building Information Modelling (BIM) as the emerging industry standard approach to the design, analysis and management of building life cycle. The course incorporates an innovative blend of design management, sustainable design analysis and advanced modelling, customisation and visualisation, at the cutting edge of technology. It further researches novel approaches and technologies for an efficient design integration and project collaboration, understanding BIM impact on the design process and workflow requirements.
The programme introduction is even more timely now that the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills has unveiled the Government Strategic Plan for Level 3 BIM (February 2015), setting out the a vision of greater efficiency and profitability in Digital Built Britain.
You´ll normally be expected to have an architectural, construction or other built environment degree, a professional qualification of equal standing, or significant practical or professional experience that would support your application. Applicants with non-traditional background are welcome to apply and will be accepted subject to successful interview and relevant work experience.
