Healthcare professionals employed in the field of infection prevention and control require advanced level education the speciality. Recent drivers from the Welsh Government including the Framework for Advanced Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professional Practice in Wales recommend master’s level qualifications for nurses and allied health professionals working in advanced practice roles. This will include many infection prevention and control practitioners working within Wales. This programme is ideally suited to meet the needs of these practitioners.
