Presentación

This degree will provide you with the opportunity to study subjects from a broad range of engineering disciplines including mechanical, electrical, electronic, software, and communications engineering. This wide spectrum of topics will enable you to study new areas of interest as well as deepening your knowledge of others.

Requisitos

2:1 degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject

English Language Requirements: IELTS 6.0 or equivalent. If your first language is not English, you may need to provide evidence of your English language ability. If you do not yet meet our requirements, our English Language Teaching Unit (ELTU) offers a range of courses to help you to improve your English to the necessary standard.

Project

After completing all the modules, you will apply the knowledge you have gained throughout the course to solving an engineering problem at a professional level. You will define the nature of the problem and draw up plans for tackling it, presented as a formal proposal (including a financial costing). Your project supervisor will meet regularly with you for feedback on the project.

Industry placement (optional)

You may, if you wish, choose to study for an MSc in Advanced Engineering with Industry, which includes the opportunity to apply for a range of industry placements arranged by the Department. Your placement, of between three and nine months, will be undertaken after the taught part of the course, allowing you to acquire industrial experience and develop an appreciation of how the new skills you have acquired relate to problems in industry.
